Gumdrop Books, an industry‑leading, family‑owned provider of Pre‑K to 12 educational and library materials for over 50 years, is seeking a motivated Inside Sales Representative to join our sales team. We proudly serve school libraries and public libraries nationwide with exceptional service, unconditionally guaranteed . About the Role As an Inside Sales Representative, you will connect directly with school librarians, media specialists, and public library staff to introduce Gumdrop Books' solutions and help them build strong, engaging collections for children and young adults. You will sell remotely by Zoom, phone, email, and through our online webstore while creating custom book lists tailored to each library's needs. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys relationship‑building, consultative selling, and supporting literacy in communities across the country. Key Responsibilities Outbound Library Outreach — Call and email Pre‑K-12 school libraries and public libraries to introduce Gumdrop Books' products and services. Custom Collection Building — Create curated book lists based on curriculum needs, reading levels, and collection gaps. Remote Selling — Sell books via Zoom, phone, email, and our online webstore, guiding customers through ordering options and promotions. Account Management — Maintain ongoing relationships with librarians, ensuring exceptional service and repeat business. Pipeline Growth — Track outreach, follow‑ups, and opportunities to meet monthly sales goals. Product Knowledge — Stay informed about new releases, opening day collections, Fitzgerald Books, and other Gumdrop offerings. Qualifications Strong communication skills—comfortable selling by phone and email. Experience in sales, customer service, or library/education fields is a plus. Ability to work independently, stay organized, and manage a remote workflow. Tech‑savvy with basic proficiency in selling via Zoom, email, CRM tools, and online ordering platforms.
