Outside Sales Representative - PET PackagingAbout the Company We are a growing packaging company specializing in PET bottles, jars, preforms, and closures for customers across the food, beverage, personal care, household, and industrial sectors. We are committed to delivering quality, reliability, and responsive customer service, while building long-term partnerships with our clients across the U.S. market. As part of our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Outside Sales Representative to help expand our customer base and strengthen our market presence. Position Summary We are looking for a driven sales professional with a minimum of 3 years of industry experience and a strong interest in building customer relationships in the field. The ideal candidate has experience in PET or plastic packaging sales , understands the needs of industrial and consumer product customers, and is confident in generating new business through direct outreach, customer visits, and relationship-driven selling. This opportunity is ideal for someone who is energized by sales, enjoys working independently, and wants to grow with a company that offers strong commission potential tied directly to performance . Key Responsibilities Develop and grow sales of PET packaging products, including bottles, jars, preforms, and closures Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities across target industries such as food, beverage, nutraceutical, household, and personal care Build and maintain strong customer relationships through regular in-person visits, follow-ups, and account development efforts Leverage existing industry contacts and customer relationships where applicable Manage the full sales cycle, including prospecting, lead generation, quotations, negotiations, and closing Understand customer packaging needs and coordinate with internal teams on product specifications, pricing, timelines, and sampling Maintain an active pipeline and provide regular updates on customer activity, sales progress, and market feedback Represent the company professionally during customer meetings, trade shows, and industry events Qualifications Minimum 3 years of sales experience in PET packaging, plastic packaging, bottles, jars, closures, preforms, or a related packaging field Existing customer portfolio and/or established network within relevant industries is strongly preferred Proven ability to generate business, develop accounts, and build long-term customer relationships Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a field-based sales role Willingness to travel regularly for customer visits and business development activities Strong commercial mindset with the ability to identify opportunities and convert them into sales Valid driver's license required Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required for candidates with strong relevant industry experience Preferred Qualifications Experience working with customers in food packaging, spices, beverage, nutraceutical, or consumer goods Good understanding of PET packaging applications and customer requirements Experience with custom packaging projects, product development discussions, and account expansion Compensation This position offers a base salary plus strong commission opportunity for motivated sales professionals who are ready to build business and be rewarded for performance.
Starting Base Salary:
$32,760 per year
