Job Description

IPS is an Atlas Copco distributor of pumps, air compressors, vacuum equipment, air dryers and nitrogen generators. To best serve our customers, IPS services most makes/models of compressors and related equipment including Sullair, Joy, Zeks, Ingersoll-Rand, Kaeser, Quincy, Gardner Denver, CompAir, Hankison, Pneumatech, Hydrovane, and more. IPS is currently seeking a professional, highly motivated Area Sales Representative for its sales force. The territory is regional which allows you to be home each night. We pride ourselves in hiring individuals who will maintain professional, courteous, honest and helpful relationships with all existing and potential customers. The right candidate needs to possess excellent organizational and follow-up skills. Prospecting and developing new accounts is essential to the role. Duties of a Sales Representative include: Manage the full customer sales support process, including proposal preparation, pricing negotiations, contract updates, and service activation. Maintained strong client relationships through ongoing support, quality assurance, and timely issue resolution. Maintaining a professional image at all times through personal actions and initiatives. Enhancing division and Company reputation and brand image by consistently working to implement the Company's core values of commitment, interaction, and innovation. Obtaining, developing, preparing, delivering, and presenting sales materials, exhibits, and promotional programs when attending exhibits, conferences, meetings, and other local, regional, and national promotional opportunities. Training & Development The Sales Representative is expected to continuously update their job knowledge (for both products and sales/marketing strategies and skills) by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; networking; and participating in professional organizations.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; 2 or 4 year technical degree is preferred. Solid sales skills with a good mechanical understanding/aptitude. A minimum of 3 years sales experience in the industrial market is required. Strong communication skills and the ability to relate well to people of diverse backgrounds Self-Starter with time management skills. Must have a valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle and proper insurance. Experience in capital equipment sales is a plus, but not required. We will train you how to identify opportunities to save our customers' time and money. Experience with pumps, compressors, dryers, and vacuum equipment is required. We pay a base with an industry leading commission structure which allows you to begin earning commission immediately. Position has potential to earn $100,000+.
