EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field strongly desired. Candidates with a pending bachelor's degree or candidates without a degree who possess proven sales and industry experience may be considered. Previous sales experience desired. Comfortable and competent in making nutritional and feeding recommendations to livestock and lifestyle animal owners in the market. Candidates should have an understanding of ruminant husbandry, current management practices, and nutritional guidelines, general market, and industry knowledge. Work/life experience in management and care of cattle, sheep, goat, horse, deer, and/or show animals.

Problem solving and critical thinking skills Strong written and oral communication skills Excellent time management skills Public speaking skills Computer proficiency, including Gmail, Google docs, and client database management Over 21, Passed Background Test, and Clean Driving Record Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(INCLUDE, BUT
NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING LIST
) Calling on animal owners, evaluating existing feeding programs, and recommending and assisting them with their nutritional programs. Selling/consulting at the farm gate with the end goal of selling D&L products and programs and growing sales and market share. This includes developing new prospects and making sales cold calls. Organizing and conducting effective educational meetings/events for 4H clubs, saddle clubs, vets, trainers, lifestyle show clubs, sell products and build store traffic with local D&L Farm and Home. Help develop social media and marketing content regarding Animal Nutrition and services offered by D&L Farm and Home. Identify training/education needs within the D&L staff and help develop training plans and content. Assist with customer appreciation events planning and execution.
