A strong understanding of various folding carton styles and functions, sleeves, blister cards, insert cards, and other related printed products, along with the ability to identify customer needs and provide innovative packaging solutions that deliver value is desired. Knowledge in cartoning, blister packaging, and other fulfillment processes is a plus. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated sales professional with 3-5 years of packaging industry experience and a proven track record of achieving sales goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers. Prospect and generate new business opportunities within targeted industries and markets. Identify customer packaging requirements and recommend appropriate solutions.
Sell custom packaging products including:
Folding cartons Sleeves Blister cards Insert cards Other related printed packaging products Prepare quotations, proposals, and presentations for customers. Collaborate with internal estimating, customer service, production, and design teams to ensure customer expectations are met. Manage projects from initial concept through production and delivery. Conduct regular customer visits and maintain consistent communication. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs. Maintain accurate sales activity records, forecasts, and customer information within the company's CRM system. Achieve established sales and profitability objectives. Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally. Attend trade shows, industry events, and networking opportunities as needed. Qualifications Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Packaging, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of successful outside sales experience in the packaging industry. Demonstrated experience selling printed packaging products Proven ability to develop new business and manage existing accounts. Experience working with customers who sell to the retail packaging environment such as food packaging, general merchandise (hardware, houseware, electronics, Pet & Garden, Sporting Goods, etc.), healthcare, and other Consumer Goods, and/or directly with the retailers themselves, is preferred. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of paperboard packaging manufacturing processes and applications. Excellent consultative selling and relationship-building skills. Ability to read and interpret packaging specifications and customer requirements. Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software. Strong problem-solving and customer service skills.
