We are seeking a personable, proactive Community Outreach & Business Development Coordinator to expand our professional referral network and develop lasting relationships with healthcare and community partners. We are especially interested in candidates with a background in sales, business development, customer or client relations, account management, provider relations, or healthcare outreach. An existing professional network within Massachusetts healthcare, behavioral health, higher education, or related fields is highly desirable. This role is ideal for someone who is naturally comfortable connecting with people, developing professional relationships, and turning initial conversations into ongoing partnerships. The primary goal is not simply to make calls or send emails—it is to build a strong network of professionals and organizations that know and trust Green Hill Counseling as a referral resource. Responsibilities Develop and maintain professional referral relationships with healthcare providers, behavioral-health programs, colleges, and community organizations Leverage existing professional relationships and networks, when applicable, to introduce Green Hill Counseling to potential referral partners Identify and connect with referral coordinators, discharge planners, clinicians, practice owners, healthcare administrators, and other key contacts Conduct direct outreach through phone calls, personalized emails, networking, and professional introductions Clearly communicate Green Hill Counseling's services, clinician availability, accepted insurance plans, and referral process Build relationships with IOPs and PHPs, psychiatric providers, primary-care practices, college counseling centers, healthcare organizations, and other complementary providers Maintain consistent follow-up with prospective and established referral partners Identify opportunities for cross-referrals, professional partnerships, meetings, and other forms of collaboration Schedule meetings with the practice owner when a prospective partner would benefit from a more detailed clinical or partnership conversation Maintain an organized outreach pipeline tracking contacts, conversations, follow-ups, meetings, relationships, and referrals Keep referral partners informed about current clinician availability and practice services Occasionally attend local networking events, meetings, or visits with referral partners when beneficial Qualifications Bachelor's degree required Prior experience in sales, business development, customer/client relations, account management, provider relations, healthcare outreach, community outreach, or another relationship-focused role Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to develop professional relationships Confident and comfortable initiating conversations by phone, email, and in person Warm, personable, persuasive, and professional communication style Persistent and consistent with follow-up without being overly aggressive Strong verbal and written communication skills Highly organized, dependable, and able to independently manage an outreach pipeline Comfortable learning and clearly communicating information about mental-health services Strongly Preferred An established professional network within Massachusetts healthcare, behavioral health, primary care, psychiatry, higher education, or related fields Existing relationships with healthcare providers, therapists, psychiatric practices, hospitals, IOP/PHP programs, medical practices, college counseling centers, or other potential referral sources Experience generating referrals, developing accounts, building partnerships, or growing a professional network A demonstrated track record of turning outreach and professional relationships into measurable business or referral growth Schedule and Compensation Approximately 10 hours per week to start Work will primarily occur during weekday business hours Flexible hybrid schedule, with most work performed remotely $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience Mileage reimbursement for approved work-related travel Initial 90-day trial period Opportunity for increased hours based on performance and practice needs How Success Will Be Measured Success in this position will be measured primarily by the quality and growth of Green Hill Counseling's professional referral network, rather than outreach volume alone. Performance will include the quality of referral contacts identified, substantive conversations with potential partners, relationships developed, meetings and partnership opportunities generated, consistency of follow-up, and referrals generated for the practice.
