Position Summary The Provider Relations & Business Development Representative is a field-based role responsible for supporting and strengthening CHME's referral network across hospitals, physician offices, rehabilitation facilities, and health plans throughout the Bay Area. This position is ideal for a healthcare professional who enjoys building relationships, supporting clinical partners, and working directly within the healthcare community. The role combines provider education, account support, territory relationship management, and coordination with internal teams to help ensure exceptional service for patients and referral partners. Service Territory:
Greater Bay Area Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with referral sources including hospitals, case managers, physician offices, rehab facilities, and healthcare providers
  • Conduct regular in-person visits within the assigned territory to support referral partner needs and maintain strong communication
  • Educate providers and clinical staff on CHME services, including DME, rehabilitation equipment, respiratory services, and pharmacy offerings
  • Assist referral partners with service-related questions and help coordinate resolutions with internal teams
  • Support growth opportunities within existing provider relationships
  • Deliver in-service presentations and educational support to healthcare staff
  • Participate in community outreach activities, healthcare events, and vendor fairs
  • Track account activity, follow-up efforts, and provider interactions
  • Support oversight of hospital consignment closets and related inventory coordination
  • Maintain hospital vendor credentialing requirements (GHX, VendorMate, etc.)
  • Represent CHME professionally within all healthcare environments Qualifications
  • Healthcare, provider relations, medical office, clinical support, DME/HME, rehab, home health, or related healthcare experience preferred
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent healthcare experience
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and professional relationships
  • Organized with strong follow-through and time management skills
  • Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
  • Basic computer proficiency and ability to document field activity
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required Ideal Backgrounds May Include
  • Medical office or physician practice support
  • Physical therapy or rehabilitation clinics
  • DME/HME industry experience
  • Home health or healthcare coordination
