Sales Representative Job Description Lynn's Audio Video Position Overview Lynn's Audio Video is seeking a motivated and professional Sales Representative to help grow our residential and commercial custom integration business. This role is responsible for building client relationships, identifying customer needs, preparing proposals, and guiding projects from initial consultation through contract approval. The ideal candidate is personable, organized, self-driven, and comfortable working with homeowners, builders, designers, and business owners on technology solutions including audio/video, networking, automation, security, lighting control, and related systems. Key Responsibilities Sales & Client Relations Generate new business opportunities through networking, referrals, and outreach Meet with clients to assess needs and recommend technology solutions Build and maintain long-term relationships with homeowners, contractors, builders, and commercial clients Conduct onsite consultations and project walkthroughs Present product options and system recommendations clearly and professionally Proposal & Project Coordination Prepare estimates, proposals, and sales documentation Work closely with project managers and installation teams to ensure accurate project scope Coordinate with vendors and internal staff regarding product availability and timelines Follow up on open bids and maintain consistent communication with clients Assist with change orders and project revisions when needed Product Knowledge & Industry Awareness Stay informed on current AV, networking, smart home, and automation technologies Attend manufacturer trainings and industry events when applicable Educate customers on system features, benefits, and future expandability Administrative Responsibilities Maintain accurate customer records and sales activity Track sales pipeline and report progress to management Ensure contracts, deposits, and paperwork are completed accurately Qualifications Previous sales experience preferred (custom integration, construction, electronics, or related field is a plus) Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Basic understanding of audio/video, networking, or smart home systems preferred Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and CRM or estimating software Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Desired Traits Self-motivated and goal-oriented Professional appearance and demeanor Strong problem-solving skills Team player with positive attitude Detail-oriented and organized Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively Compensation & Benefits Base salary plus commission structure (depending on experience) Opportunities for advancement and continued training Paid time off and holidays Employee discounts on products and services Supportive family-oriented work environment About Lynn's Audio Video Lynn's Audio Video specializes in custom audio/video, networking, security, automation, and smart technology solutions for residential and commercial clients. $65,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
