As the Sales & Retail Planning Specialist, you will play a critical role in supporting the performance of Indian Motorcycle's dealer network by connecting retail planning, field sales support, product initiatives, and business analytics. This position serves as a key liaison between field sales, product management, marketing, operations, and dealer partners to ensure successful execution of retail programs and business objectives. You will leverage data, market insights, and dealer feedback to identify opportunities, support sales growth, improve inventory performance, and enhance the dealer experience. The role offers broad exposure across sales, product, marketing, and operational teams while providing an opportunity to directly influence retail performance and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Retail Planning & Business Analytics Support the development and execution of retail sales strategies aligned with business objectives Analyze retail performance, inventory levels, wholesale activity, and dealer stocking trends to identify opportunities and risks Develop reporting and dashboards that provide actionable insights to sales leadership and field teams Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on data and field feedback Assist in forecasting and planning efforts in partnership with Sales, Product, and SIOP teams Field Sales & Dealer Support Serve as a primary point of contact for the field sales organization on retail programs, dealer initiatives, and business processes Support field sales teams with dealer requests, program exceptions, inventory questions, and retail performance needs Develop tools, resources, and training materials that improve field sales effectiveness Coordinate and support planning activities for national and regional sales meetings Product & Business Initiatives Support new product launches through coordination of pricing, ordering processes, dealer communications, and retail readiness activities Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to ensure successful execution of business initiatives Act as a subject matter resource for retail programs, dealer operations, and sales processes Gather and communicate dealer and field feedback to support continuous improvement efforts Retail Programs & Promotions Assist in the development, execution, and measurement of retail sales programs and promotions Support initiatives designed to increase dealer engagement, retail sales performance, and market share Monitor competitive activity and industry trends to help inform future program strategies Communication & Stakeholder Management Serve as a key communication liaison between corporate teams, field sales representatives, and dealer partners Develop and distribute dealer communications related to sales programs, product updates, retail initiatives, and business changes Facilitate information flow between departments to ensure alignment and consistent execution Provide field insights and business intelligence to support decision-making across the organization Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Sales, Supply Chain, Analytics, or a related field Minimum of 4 years of experience in sales, marketing, retail planning, dealer development, business analytics, or a related function Demonstrated ability to support business growth through data-driven decision making and cross-functional collaboration Strong analytical, organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Experience working with multiple stakeholders across varying levels of an organization Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and business reporting tools; Power BI experience preferred Understanding, appreciation, and/or passion for the powersports industry and dealer retail environment preferred Ability to travel approximately 10% Location Hybrid -
Golden Valley, MN Compensation & Benefits:
The starting pay range for Minnesota is $70,000 to $95,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
