Job Description
WEINERT Fiber Optics, Inc. (Williamsburg, VA): Formerly LEONI Fiber Optics, Inc., we are one of the nation's best designers and producers of high-quality fiber optic products. We serve well-respected manufacturers and other industrial and military players across various applications such as metrology, high-power and medical lasers, as well as industrial data transmission. While addressing the American market, within the global business group, our Williamsburg, VA site is an integral part of a worldwide engineering, manufacturing, and sales team with co-workers in Europe and Asia allowing for innovative and customer-specific solutions. Sales Specialist Fiber Optic Cables and Assemblies We are looking for a sales professional to grow our customer base by winning new projects and clients across various markets such as semiconductor manufacturing, metrology, defense and others. The ideal candidate has knowledge and experience related to fiber optics including assemblies, bundles, arrays, vacuum feedthroughs, and testing requirements. Working out of our Williamsburg, VA office is preferred, however an alternative hybrid/remote setup, especially for West Coast candidates, could be explored on an individual basis.
Tasks and Responsibilities :
Meet established sales objectives, including generating new leads/prospects on an individual basis, as well as maintaining ongoing business with an existing portfolio of customers. Manage customer interface and internal communications for the entire product lifecycle, from lead generation to prototyping, qualification, and volume production Aptitude to develop a deep knowledge of our engineered products Understand the needs and challenges of individual customers and prospects as it pertains to fiber optics Reply with adequate technical solutions to requests for quotation and other customer inquiries Oversee pricing strategies and margin management for a dedicated customer base and/or product line Consolidate market trends on a product/technology level Provide input to a cohesive business development strategy Travel across the USA and occasionally Europe to meet with customers and prospects Attend trade shows Support the creation of marketing media such as case studies, newsletters, and sales presentationsQualifications:
Bachelor's Degree, ideally in a technical field, or equivalent work experience >3 years of experience working in a B2B/ industrial products engineering or sales position Proven track record of growing business in a certain region or for a certain product/division Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills Comprehensive trainings on sales techniques (Miller Heiman, Sandler, Value Selling, etc.) or equivalent work experience Self-motivated and self-directed with strong attention to detail, problem solving, and analytical skills Effective time management skills with ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment Working knowledge of ERP and CRM systems and proficient in MS Office Ability to legally work in the United States If you enjoy working with other professionals in a collaborative and solution-oriented culture, we encourage you to apply.
