VP Sales About Teknovate Consulting Partners Teknovate Consulting Partners is a Northeast Florida-based Managed Services Provider (MSP) focused on helping small and midsize businesses operate securely, efficiently, and without technology disruption. We specialize in delivering managed IT services, cybersecurity protection, cloud solutions, and help desk support to organizations across Jacksonville and the surrounding region.

Position Summary We are seeking a high-performing Senior Business Development Representative (Sr. BDR) to expand Teknovate's presence across the Jacksonville and Northeast Florida business community. This is a player/coach role responsible for generating new revenue while mentoring a junior BDR to scale outbound efforts. The ideal candidate understands the local business landscape and can build relationships with decision-makers in industries such as healthcare, professional services, construction, legal, manufacturing, and nonprofit organizations. Key Responsibilities Local Business Development & Sales Execution Prospect and develop new business opportunities across Jacksonville, St. Augustine, Gainesville, and surrounding areas Engage with business owners, executives, and office managers through in-person meetings, networking events, and community involvement Own the full sales cycle from initial outreach to closed deal, focusing on recurring managed services (MRR) Identify client pain points related to cybersecurity risks, downtime, compliance (HIPAA), and aging IT infrastructure Position Teknovate's solutions including: Managed IT Services 24/7 Cybersecurity Protection Help Desk Support Backup & Disaster Recovery Cloud & Infrastructure Solutions Conduct onsite or virtual technology consultations and present tailored solutions Consistently meet or exceed monthly recurring revenue (MRR) targets Mentorship & Team Leadership Coach and develop a junior BDR on local prospecting strategies, outreach messaging, and qualification Assist in building territory-specific call plans and target account lists Monitor and improve junior BDR performance metrics (calls, appointments set, pipeline contribution) Lead by example with strong activity levels, professionalism, and closing discipline Pipeline & CRM Management Maintain a healthy, accurate pipeline within CRM Track and report on key metrics including: Meetings set Opportunities created MRR closed Conversion rates Provide forecasting and pipeline visibility to leadership Community & Market Engagement Actively participate in Jacksonville-area networking groups, chambers of commerce, and business associations Build referral relationships with CPAs, attorneys, insurance brokers, and other local partners Represent Teknovate at local events, trade shows, and industry meetups Stay informed on regional business trends and cybersecurity threats impacting Northeast Florida companies Qualifications 5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in MSP, IT services, or cybersecurity Proven success selling into SMB markets with recurring revenue models Strong network or familiarity with the Jacksonville / Northeast Florida business community preferred Experience mentoring or leading junior sales team members Solid understanding of: Managed IT services Cybersecurity fundamentals Cloud and backup solutions Excellent communication, presentation, and closing skills Highly self-motivated with a strong "hunter" mentality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) Monthly MRR closed New client acquisition in target markets Meetings set (individual + junior BDR contribution) Pipeline growth and conversion rates Junior BDR development and productivity Compensation Structure Base Salary + Uncapped Commission MRR-based residual income opportunities Bonuses tied to exceeding territory growth goals Additional incentives for team performance and mentorship success Why Join Teknovate in Northeast Florida Strong demand for cybersecurity and managed IT services in the Jacksonville SMB market Opportunity to build a local book of business and long-term client relationships Leadership role with direct impact on company growth Supportive, fast-moving team with a clear path for advancement Competitive earnings with uncapped upside tied to recurring revenue Ideal Candidate Profile You are someone who: Is already plugged into the Jacksonville business community or can quickly become visible Prefers face-to-face relationship building, not just inside sales Understands how to sell value over price, especially in cybersecurity Can both close deals and develop people Wants to build something meaningful in a high-growth MSP environment
