Job Description

Strategic Business Development Representative Location:
Remote - United States (Eastern or Central Time Preferred)
Compensation:
$36,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission (Top performers can exceed $100K+ total compensation) About Us Halo Recruiting is a premium offshore headhunting and global talent firm that helps U.S.-based companies hire elite international professionals across finance, accounting, operations, technology, marketing, and executive support.

Private Equity firms PE-backed portfolio companies Founder-led businesses Mid-market companies scaling operations Our clients leverage Halo Recruiting to build high-performing global teams that reduce cost, increase operational leverage, and improve scalability. We are looking for a highly driven Strategic Business Development Representative (BDR) to help expand relationships with Private Equity firms and portfolio companies throughout the United States. About the Role This is not a traditional "appointment setter" role. We are looking for someone who can operate strategically, communicate professionally with executives, and help open doors within PE firms and their portfolio companies.
You will be responsible for:
outbound prospecting, account-based outreach, cold calling, LinkedIn engagement, relationship development, generate qualified meetings for the leadership team. You will work directly with leadership to help build relationships across the private equity ecosystem. Responsibilities Outbound Prospecting & Business Development Execute outbound outreach campaigns targeting: Private Equity firms Operating Partners CFOs CEOs Finance leaders PE-backed portfolio companies Conduct cold calls, email outreach, LinkedIn messaging, and follow-up sequences Build and manage account-based outreach campaigns Research target accounts and identify key decision makers Create personalized messaging based on company initiatives, growth stage, and hiring needs Generate qualified meetings and sales opportunities Relationship Development Build long-term relationships with PE firms and portfolio company leadership teams Engage prospects professionally and confidently in live conversations Maintain consistent follow-up and pipeline activity Represent Halo Recruiting professionally in all interactions CRM & Sales Operations Maintain accurate CRM records and activity tracking Manage outreach workflows using HubSpot, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and sequencing tools Track pipeline activity and reporting metrics Collaborate with leadership on target account strategy
Qualifications:
1-4 years of experience in: Business Development SDR/BDR Staffing Sales Recruiting Sales SaaS Sales Professional Services Sales Strong verbal and written communication skills Comfortable making outbound cold calls Experience using CRM and sales engagement platforms Highly organized and process-oriented Ability to communicate professionally with executives and finance leaders Self-motivated with strong follow-through Preferred Experience selling into: Private Equity firms Financial services B2B services Recruiting/staffing SaaS Familiarity with: HubSpot Apollo.io LinkedIn Sales Navigator Experience with account-based marketing (ABM) or multi-threaded outbound outreach Compensation & Growth $36,000 annual base salary Uncapped commission structure High earning potential for top performers Clear path toward:
