At Industrial Automation Co., our goal is to provide our clients with the industrial electronics parts they need right when they need them. We specialize in mature, legacy, and end-of-life products that you wont find anywhere else, and we keep failure-prone parts in stock to reduce lead times. We are bringing industrial distribution into the 21st century by using advanced analytics to stock failure-prone parts, and advanced logistics to reduce lead times on non-stock items. Our primary goal is to reduce downtime and provide high-quality products on time at a great price.
Essential FunctionsCustomer & Sales SupportSend out quotes to customers in a timely manner.
Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email.
Assist with order processing, including credit card transactions.
Follow up on customer orders to ensure timely delivery.
Manages customer returns, replacement and/or refundsAssist in coordination of sales emails and live chatServe as a backup for sales representatives when neededOrder & Vendor ManagementManage orders with third-party vendors.
Source and search for parts online through vendor networks.
Purchase products from vendors once quotes are approved.
Create purchase orders (POs) for purchased products.
Communicate lead times for products to internal teams and customersAdministrative & Data ManagementComplete data entry for company systems and spreadsheets, including Vendor Supplier Forms and Certificates of Insurance.
Maintain accurate records of orders, purchases, and customer communications.
Professional Development & Other DutiesIncrease product knowledge of the companys business, products, and services.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and CompetenciesStrong organizational and time management skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitask and prioritize workload in a fast-paced environmentDetailed oriented with strong problem solving skillsCustomer focused with professional demeanorProven experience in administrative or sales support
