Full Job Description Job Title:
Territory Sales Representative - Waste & Recycling Equipment (Southeast US)
Location :
Remote - Southeast US (field-based; regular travel across assigned states; trade shows and customer site visits required) About the company: Fast-growing manufacturer of trash and recycling compactors and balers serving municipalities, waste haulers, multi-family housing, retail, and industrial customers. We deliver durable, reliable equipment and best-in-class service to reduce disposal costs and improve sustainability.
Role Summary:
Seeking a results-driven Territory Sales Representative to generate new business and grow accounts across the Southeast US. You'll sell compactors, balers, and service agreements - managing leads through discovery, specification, quoting, and close while coordinating with operations and service teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Prospect and qualify new customers across the Southeast (property managers, haulers, municipalities, retail, industrial). Conduct on-site assessments and recommend equipment and service plans tailored to regional needs. Prepare proposals, pricing, and ROI/cost-savings analyses; negotiate contracts and close deals. Manage post-sale handoff with operations and coordinate installation/service scheduling. Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, contractors, and channel partners in the region. Track pipeline and forecast sales using CRM; meet monthly/quarterly revenue targets. Represent the company at regional trade shows and industry events.
Qualifications :
2+ years outside or territory sales experience, preferably in waste management, equipment, industrial sales, or construction. Proven track record of meeting/exceeding quota and closing mid-to-large ticket equipment sales. Strong consultative selling, presentation, and negotiation skills. Comfortable performing site surveys and explaining technical product specs. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel regularly within the Southeast. Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot/Salesforce) and basic Excel.
Nice-to-Have:
Existing relationships with Southeast waste haulers, municipal purchasing, or property management firms. Technical background with heavy equipment or mechanical aptitude. Experience selling service contracts and spare parts.
