Job Description

The Galliker Dairy Company, headquartered in Johnstown, PA since 1914, has an immediate opening for a Territory Sales Representative for the respective assigned region. This position will be remote with occasional in office meetings at the Johnstown PA headquarters. EOE/AA E-Verify
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for managing all aspects of the assigned sales territory including increasing sales, providing customer support, ensuring satisfaction, identifying prospects, signing up new customers and bringing field information to company management.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
This position reports to the Director of Sales .
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Sales and Service Maintain and grow existing customer sales. Build loyal customer relationships through frequent visits, personal interactions and concern for success. Visit stores following guidelines established by the Sales department. Monitor customer case cleanliness, cooler conditions, displays and stock levels. Support customers through the entire sales cycle including pricing, product recommendations, product placement, POS displays, promotions, ordering process, delivery, invoicing and payment options. Communicate customer concerns, complaints and compliments through proper channels. Review and analyze customer sales information on an ongoing basis to identify problems and opportunities. Promote new products including distributing and displaying of Point of Sales material as instructed. Track and maintain daily notes and assignments using company-approved methods. Prepare an accurate and detailed weekly activity report and submit as instructed. Develop New Business Solicit new customers within assigned territory to identify new Galliker business partners. Prepare and deliver professional customer sales presentations with follow-up communications. Develop and update an achievable prospect list monthly. Marketing and Field Information Communicate any potential innovative ideas, products, services and trends observed in the field. Communicate all potential business threats. Present promotional, marketing and product ideas at Sales meetings. Participate in setting sales targets, new product development and promotional and marketing campaigns. Key Accounts Develop the ability to manage key customer relationships and to find new business opportunities to grow revenue and profits.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Bachelor's degree in business or sales and marketing; or two to five years of experience in a related business field with a high school diploma or (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and company employees. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies or members of the business community. Ability to accurately quote prices, delivery and credit terms. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a collaborative business environment. Ability to learn and use current company computer platforms and the Microsoft suite of business applications. The ability to develop a concise work plan and schedule independently. Financial responsibility for any assigned project budgets.
EXPECTATIONS
Present a professional, positive image of the company to promote the Galliker Dairy brand and its products. Develop a general understanding of the laws and regulatrion of the PA Milk Marketing Board. Be knowledgeable about all products offered including line items and price information. Understand the company's pricing procedures and sales policies. Communicate effectively with all departments at Galliker Dairy. Attend and participate in sales meetings, training sessions, trade shows and other company sponsored events. Flexibility to work unusual and extended hours as required and availability to work weekends and holidays if scheduled. Willingness to travel for extended periods of time as needed. Maintain accurate and detailed expense reports for reimbursement. Maintain a clean and safe company vehicle with a valid driver's license and an insurable driving record.
