Truss Sales Representative
LOCATION
Tavares, FL Full Remote TYPE Direct Hire SALARY $60,000 - $62,000 / yr ID FL197-2755055 POSTED May 27, 2026 We are seeking a motivated Truss Sales Representative to develop customer relationships, generate sales, prepare estimates, and coordinate roof and floor truss projects with builders and contractors. Candidates should have construction industry knowledge, blueprint reading ability, and strong communication skills. Experience with MiTek or Alpine software is preferred. A Truss Sales Representative sells roof and floor truss systems to contractors, builders, developers, and construction companies. This role combines technical construction knowledge with sales, estimating, customer relationship management, and project coordination. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with builders, contractors, framers, and developers
  • Generate new business through prospecting, networking, and referrals
  • Prepare truss quotes, bids, and material estimates
  • Read and interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and construction documents
  • Coordinate with design engineers and production teams on truss layouts and specifications
  • Follow up on bids and negotiate pricing/contracts
  • Manage customer accounts and ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor project timelines and resolve jobsite issues when needed
  • Stay current on building codes, lumber pricing, and market trends Required Qualifications
  • Experience in construction sales, building materials, lumber, or truss sales preferred
  • Knowledge of roof truss systems, floor systems, and framing methods
  • Ability to read blueprints and construction plans
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency with estimating or design software such as: o MiTek o Alpine
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites/customers
