In this role you will be managing fast paced checkout lines as well as giving personalized, hospitality-styled beverage recommendations. If you love sharing cocktail recipes, suggesting perfect wine pairings, this is the perfect role for you.

Key Responsibilities Customer Consultation:

actively engage shoppers to provide friendly approachable wine & beer suggestions as well cocktail assembly advice.

Efficient Checkout :

Provide fast, friendly and accurate checkout service.

Community Building:

Help launch and manage small in-store tastings, build attractive cocktail kit displays, and distribute recipe cards.

Visual merchandising:

Keep shelves fully stocked, organized and beautifully merchandized-specifically focusing on cross-prompting premium mixers, garnishes, snacks and craft beverages.

Strict Legal Compliance:

Ensure absolute compliance with Rhode Island liquor laws by strictly and politely verifying legal identification for all age-restricted purchases.

Store Upkeep:

Maintain and exceptionally clean, organized, and welcoming sales floor and checkout area.

Qualifications & Skills Experience:

1-2 years of experience in hospitality (bartender, server, tasting room) or high-end retail is highly preferred.

Beverage Knowledge:

A strong foundational interest or knowledge in wine regions, varietals, and classic cocktails (e.g. Margaritas, Old Fashioneds and Martinis).

Communications:

Exceptional verbal communication stills; ability to explain complex flavor profiles in simple, unpretentious beginner terms. Ability to

Multitask:

proven ability to balance deep, attentive service to a wine customer while maintaining total awareness of the register line.

Physical Requirements:

Must be 21+ years of age, able to lift 40 lbs. (cases of wine/liquor/beer), and comfortable standing for long periods.

Certifications:

TIPS and WSET certifications helpful but not required.

Pay:

$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
