Job Description

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 13 states with over 3,500 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. Rogers Group is currently seeking a Sales & Market Development Representative - Asphalt to expand our market share in metro Nashville and across middle Tennessee with 7 asphalt plants. This position will report directly to the Vice President and will work closely with operations and sales leadership. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to grow third ‑ party asphalt sales while supporting broader market development and customer growth initiatives. Job Responsibilities Grow company revenue and margins through disciplined sales execution across the territory. Maintain favorable and effective relationships with existing third ‑ party paving contractor customers. Identify, prospect, and develop new paving contractors and external customers within the market. Coordinate pricing, forecasting, contracts, and credit terms in collaboration with internal teams. Resolve customer issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner. Work closely with plant operations and quality control teams to ensure product availability, quality, and customer satisfaction. Analyze local market trends, competitive activity, and customer demand to support growth initiatives. Assist leadership in identifying new market opportunities and strategies to grow market share. Capture and maintain customer and prospect information within CRM systems. Provide market feedback to support operational planning and continuous improvement efforts. Perform other duties as assigned in support of regional and enterprise objectives. Qualifications 2-5 years of experience in sales, business development, or a related heavy side materials role preferred. Sales experience in asphalt, aggregates, construction materials, or related industries strongly preferred. Bachelor's degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship ‑ building skills. Ability to understand market conditions, customer needs, and competitive dynamics. Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proficiency with CRM systems and basic business reporting tools. Ability and willingness to entertain customers and to travel throughout territory.
