Job Description
Overview Ignite your career in the dynamic world of logistics and transportation as an Entry-Level Freight Broker! We are seeking a motivated and reliable Entry-Level Freight Broker to join our team. This role focuses primarily on tracking and tracing shipments and working on spot market opportunities. You will play a key support role in ensuring shipments move smoothly while helping identify and secure spot loads. This is an ideal entry-level position in freight brokerage. We provide full training and are looking for candidates who align with our Culture Index profiles—specifically Tech Experts (detail-oriented and analytical), Trail Blazers (proactive and driven), and Persuaders (strong communicators who excel at building relationships). No prior freight experience is required. We value attitude, work ethic, and cultural fit above all. Key Responsibilities Track & Trace (Primary Focus) Closely monitor shipment status using carrier portals, TMS platforms, and direct carrier/driver communication. Deliver timely and accurate updates to customers and internal teams. Proactively identify and help resolve delays or issues. Spot Market Opportunities Scan load boards and market postings for viable spot freight. Contact carriers to negotiate and secure capacity. Support the team in matching loads with available trucks. Additional Responsibilities Maintain accurate records and documentation in our systems. Provide excellent customer service and support senior brokers as needed. Meet daily/weekly targets for tracking accuracy and spot activity. Qualifications & Requirements High school diploma or equivalent (some college preferred). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Comfortable in a fast-paced, phone- and computer-heavy environment. Proficient with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace and eager to learn industry software. Reliable, coachable, and excited to grow in the logistics industry. Must pass our Culture Index survey as part of the hiring process.
