Job Description
Mike's Westside Rental (MWR) is expanding rapidly across Texas, and we are looking to add experienced Outside Sales Representatives to support growth in multiple markets. Our team is focused on delivering exceptional service, building strong customer relationships, and providing reliable equipment solutions to contractors, industrial clients, and homeowners alike. About the Role The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new accounts, strengthening existing relationships, and promoting MWR's full line of general construction equipment rentals. This position requires a mix of field-based customer interaction, jobsite visits, cold outreach, and territory planning. You will represent MWR as the primary point of contact for customers and understanding their needs, recommending equipment solutions, and ensuring they receive exceptional service from start to finish. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a territory sales plan to grow rental revenue and market share Conduct regular jobsite visits to identify opportunities and build relationships with key decision-makers Maintain a consistent schedule of customer outreach, including cold calls, follow-ups, and onsite visits Promote MWR's fleet offerings by understanding customer needs and pairing them with the correct equipment solutions Collaborate with branch operations teams to ensure accurate reservations, timely deliveries, and exceptional customer experiences Manage a defined book of business while continuously prospecting new accounts which will be a mix of jobsite and office calls in an assigned territory Support the credit/collections process by helping to maintain healthy AR practices in your territory Stay informed on market trends, competitor activity, and customer project pipelines Represent MWR professionally at industry events, trade shows, and customer functions (where applicable) Qualifications 2+ years of outside sales experience in equipment rental, construction, industrial services, or a closely related field (REQUIRED) Strong understanding of general construction equipment and jobsite workflows Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing a territory Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, consistent follow up Excellent communication skills: written, verbal, and interpersonal Must be comfortable spending significant time on jobsites and meeting customers face-to-face Valid driver's license with a clean driving record What Success Looks Like Consistent growth in rental revenue, new accounts opened, and repeat business Strong relationships built across contractors, subcontractors, industrial clients, and project managers Positive collaboration with branch teams and dependable follow-through Thorough knowledge of your territory, including active projects, market activity, and customer schedules Proactive problem solving and a reputation for responsiveness Why Join MWR As one of the fastest-growing independent rental companies in Texas, MWR offers you the opportunity to shape your territory, impact company growth, and build a long term career.
