Job Summary SteelHold Inc. is seeking a highly motivated, results-driven Outside Sales Representative to take full ownership of a defined territory by driving revenue growth, market penetration, and account expansion. This role is accountable for both developing new business and growing existing accounts, with a strong emphasis on territory planning, disciplined pipeline management, and CRM utilization. This field-based position within an assigned geographic territory requires proactive prospecting, identification of new project opportunities, and the ability to build long-term relationships with contractors. Leveraging a company vehicle and mobile inventory, you will ensure immediate product availability while closing sales directly at job sites. Position Overview The primary objective of this role is to grow and optimize territory performance through strategic prospecting, account development, and consistent execution of sales activities. The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for managing the full sales lifecycle - from lead generation to deal close - while maintaining accurate CRM data, pipeline visibility, and forecasting discipline. Success in this role requires strong ownership of territory results, a structured sales approach, and the ability to translate activity into measurable growth. Duties and Responsibilities Own and grow a defined sales territory, with clear accountability for revenue, account growth, and market share expansion. Proactively identify, target, and develop new business opportunities, including job sites, contractors, and project leads. Sell fasteners and accessories directly to contractors at job sites, delivering solutions that meet immediate and ongoing needs. Consistently expand existing accounts through relationship building, upselling, and cross-selling. Maintain and utilize CRM system daily to: Track customer interactions and sales activity Manage pipeline and opportunity stages Ensure accurate forecasting and reporting Maintain a disciplined sales cadence, including prospecting, follow-ups, and business development activities. Deliver inventory using a company-provided box truck and ensure product availability aligns with customer demand. Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure timely replenishment. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order fulfillment, logistics, and customer satisfaction. Regularly review territory performance, identify gaps, and implement strategies to improve results. Track sales performance and provide consistent updates to management based on CRM data and territory insights. Follow all safety policies and procedures in the field and while handling materials. Perform other duties as assigned. Position Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business or related field required. Minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience, preferably in construction, industrial supply, or related markets. Demonstrated track record of territory growth and quota attainment. Experience working with and maintaining a CRM system (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar) preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Valid driver's license required. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong understanding of contractor workflows, jobsite expectations, and construction-related products (fasteners preferred). Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Ability to manage a sales pipeline, prioritize opportunities, and convert leads into revenue. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and CRM platforms. Highly self-motivated with a results-driven and accountable mindset. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in both inventory and CRM data. Working knowledge of inventory systems and basic logistics. Commitment to safety standards and safe work practices. Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods. Ability to work in outdoor environments. Ability to use hands and fingers to operate computers, office equipment, and tools. Ability to see, hear, and speak effectively to communicate and perform job duties. Ability to read and interpret printed and electronic materials. Ability to travel locally to meetings, trainings, or events.
