Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Representative specializing in Logistics to join our expanding team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing client relationships, and promoting comprehensive logistics solutions across various industries. Your expertise will help streamline supply chain operations for clients while driving revenue growth. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of transportation management, supply chain processes, and B2B sales strategies, contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional logistics services worldwide. Responsibilities Identify and generate new leads through proactive outreach, networking, and market research to expand the customer base. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and providing tailored solutions. Manage end-to-end sales processes including negotiations, contract drafting, and closing deals related to freight forwarding, transportation management systems, and third-party logistics (3PL). Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate transportation planning, dispatching, and carrier sales ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction. Utilize CRM software to track sales activities, update client information, and monitor pipeline progress. Prepare detailed proposals and pricing strategies aligned with client requirements while ensuring compliance with industry regulations such as FDA standards. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of supply chain management practices, transportation management systems (TMS), and relevant freight regulations like NVOCC operations. Support account management efforts by providing ongoing support post-sale to ensure customer retention and satisfaction. Assist in data entry related to shipments, dispatching schedules, and contract documentation using platforms such as EDI or AS400. Stay informed about industry trends in logistics sales, transportation sales, carrier relationships, and pricing models to optimize service offerings. Skills Proven experience in B2B sales within the logistics or supply chain management sector. Strong knowledge of transportation management systems (TMS), freight forwarding, NVOCC operations, and 3PL services. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to craft mutually beneficial agreements. Familiarity with CRM software for lead generation, account management, and data tracking. Understanding of supply chain processes including transportation planning, dispatching, and carrier relations. Ability to interpret contracts, pricing strategies, and regulatory requirements such as FDA regulations. Proficiency in data entry platforms like EDI or AS400 for shipment documentation and dispatching. Effective communication skills to build rapport with clients and internal teams across diverse markets. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple accounts simultaneously.
