Job Description

WSI Freight Solutions is seeking a Freight Brokerage Sales Manager to lead and develop a team of freight brokerage sales professionals. This role is responsible for driving new customer acquisition, revenue growth, sales performance, and team development while fostering a culture of accountability and execution.
DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Lead, coach, and develop a team of up to 12 freight brokerage sales representatives. Drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth across truckload, LTL, and freight solutions. Conduct regular coaching sessions, pipeline reviews, and performance discussions. Monitor sales activity, pipeline development, and key performance metrics. Recruit, onboard, and train new sales team members. Assist with pricing strategies, customer presentations, and closing opportunities. Partner with operations teams to ensure customer satisfaction and retention. Ensure CRM compliance, pipeline accuracy, and adherence to sales processes. Support the implementation of sales best practices and operational alignment.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
5+ years of freight brokerage sales experience. Strong knowledge of truckload brokerage, spot and contract freight, margin management, and customer acquisition. Proven leadership, coaching, and team development skills. Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior freight brokerage sales leadership experience preferred. Experience with HubSpot
CRM, TAI
TMS, Greenscreens, DAT, Truckstop, Highway, and Cargo Chief preferred.
PHYSICAL CAPABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and work at a computer throughout the day. Ability to communicate effectively in person, by phone, and through virtual meetings. Occasional lifting of office materials up to 20 pounds. Ability to move throughout an office environment.
