Music & Arts is seeking a Music Sales Expert to support students, parents, and educators in our retail store. In this role, you'll guide customers in selecting band and orchestra instruments, rentals, accessories, and lessons, delivering an exceptional, student-focused experience. You'll build relationships with local schools, assist with purchases and rentals, process orders, and maintain attractive, well-stocked displays. Working in a collaborative, performance-oriented culture, you'll use your product knowledge and passion for music education to meet sales goals while helping communities access quality instruments and instruction. Responsibilities Advise customers on band, orchestra, and other musical instruments, rentals, and accessories Promote and enroll students in private music lessons and educational programs Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and educators in-store and by phone Build and maintain relationships with local schools and community music programs Process sales, rentals, special orders, and returns accurately in the POS system Maintain clean, visually appealing, and well-stocked merchandise displays Meet or exceed individual and store sales and performance goals Support store events, clinics, and community outreach focused on music education Collaborate with store team and school service representatives to drive business Stay current on product knowledge, promotions, and basic instrument categories Required Skills Retail sales Customer service Point-of-sale (POS) systems Product knowledge - musical instruments Inventory management Merchandising and display Communication skills Relationship building with schools/educators Basic computer skills Time management
