A Field Sales Representative represents and sells products or services on behalf of a company. Visits customers and completes sales in person. Recruits new customers, presents information to demonstrate product value and persuade buyers, negotiates prices, confirms sales agreements, and works to meet company sales goals. Managers long term customer accounts and replenishes orders; may provide product maintenance.

Job Description
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Petroleum Technology, or a related field or equivalent industry experience.
- 3+ years of sales or commercial experience in oil and gas drilling and/or production environments.
- Strong understanding of drilling and production operations, equipment, and services.
- Proven ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers at multiple levels.
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the Permian Basin and visit field locations.
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet company driving requirements.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Generate sales revenue to meet or exceed assigned sales projections by giving interactive sales visits to customer locations.
- Maintain contact with an established customer base; identify and establish new clients.
- Communicate and strategize with the sales team on all related client issues.
- Prepare and deliver bids for customers with a follow up report to sales manager.
- Work in conjunction with operations personnel to ensure above expected customer services are achieved.
- Work with technical support and customers to ensure completeness and accuracy of information.
- Evaluate market requirements and competitor capabilities.
- Assist in credit worthiness assessments and collection of all delinquent accounts.
- Attend functions when necessary to keep in contact with customer.
- Perform other work related tasks as assigned.
- Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Experience using CRM systems to track opportunities, accounts, and forecasts
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Ability to document field activity, customer feedback, and technical observations
- Understanding of sales reporting and forecasting fundamentals
