Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Business Development/Sales Representative to expand their market presence and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will combine strategic business development with direct sales activities to acquire new customers and grow existing accounts within the hydraulics industry. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong technical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a proven track record in sales and business development.
Responsibilities:
Business Development:
Identify and research potential new markets, customers, and applications for our hydraulic products and services. Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company sales goals. Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to promote our company and products. Generate leads through cold calling, email marketing, and other outreach efforts. Collaborate with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotional materials.
Sales:
Manage and grow a portfolio of existing customer accounts. Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support and product recommendations. Prepare and deliver sales presentations and product demonstrations. Negotiate contracts and close sales deals. Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts. Maintain detailed records of customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
Technical Expertise:
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our hydraulic products, services, and applications. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market activities, and competitors. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to develop custom solutions for customers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably within the hydraulics or related industry. Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems and components. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships. Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
New Customer Acquisition:
Number of new customers acquired per month/quarter.
Revenue Growth:
Percentage increase in sales revenue year-over-year.
Lead Generation:
Number of qualified leads generated per month.
Sales Conversion Rate:
Percentage of leads converted into sales.
Customer Retention Rate:
Percentage of existing customers retained.
Average Deal Size:
Average revenue generated per sales deal.
Customer Satisfaction:
Measured through surveys and feedback.
Sales Cycle Length:
Average time to close a deal from initial contact.
Product Knowledge:
Measured through quizzes and technical assessments.
Compensation :
Hourly Pay:
$12-$15 per hour, based on experience
Commission:
4% commission on gross profit from sales
Bonuses:
Performance-based bonuses available
New Customer Bonus:
Earn $500 for each new customer who spends $2,000+ within their first 90 days
Performance Bonus:
Earn an additional bonus for exceeding gross profit targets
