Business Development Specialist -
Hospice Service Area:
North (Woodlands, Conroe, Willis, Montgomery, Tomball)
The Job:
We are seeking an experienced, highly motivated Hospice Business Development Specialist to join our growing team in the Houston market. The ideal candidate will have an existing network of referral sources and a proven track record of success in hospice or healthcare sales. This role is responsible for developing and nurturing strong relationships with physicians, hospitals, assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities, and other key referral partners to drive census growth.

Primary responsibilities will be: Develop and implement strategic plans to generate new referrals and grow home health/hospice admissions in the North Houston and surrounding areas. Build and maintain strong relationships with physicians, case managers, discharge planners, hospital systems, SNFs, ALFs, senior communities, and other healthcare professionals. Maintain a regular schedule of face-to-face meetings, in-services, and presentations to current and prospective referral sources. Serve as the primary liaison between referral sources and hospice clinical teams to ensure seamless communication and exceptional customer service. Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly growth goals. Accurately maintain documentation of all sales activities through EMR system (HCHB) and weekly sales reports. Attend industry events, networking meetings, and marketing events as a representative of the hospice.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of home health/hospice sales experience (required). Demonstrated history of meeting or exceeding sales goals in home health/hospice or related healthcare sectors. Established relationships with Houston-area physicians, case managers, discharge planners, hospitals, SNFs, ALFs, and senior care organizations. Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Highly organized and self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
