The Opportunity As a Specialist at Waterman Arch Supports, you are the frontline of the Client experience. This is a consultative sales role where your purpose is to educate Clients, analyze their individual needs, and deliver personalized arch support solutions that genuinely improve their lives. What You Will Do Initiate contact with Clients quickly upon entry, build rapport, and create a welcoming, trust-based experience from start to finish Analyze each Client's arch support needs through consultation, foot printing, measurement, and balance demonstration Build personalized solutions from over 300 sizes and styles of arch supports available in store. Our Clients leave the same day with their product Handle Client questions with confidence, empathy, and product knowledge Pursue personal and store sales objectives using Waterman's proven selling standards Maintain accurate Client records in our POS system and Salesforce, including purchase history, follow-up notes, and contact information Complete all follow-up calls on time and log every Client contact Handle return and refit requests professionally, reinforcing product value and the wear schedule Maintain store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and daily operational tasks Attend the mandatory Saturday morning workshop each period What You Bring Previous sales experience required; retail sales and Client service experience strongly preferred Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets A positive attitude and genuine enjoyment of working with people Patience, tact, enthusiasm, and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of Clients including elderly or disabled individuals Comfort working with Clients' feet and the ability to sit, lean, and stand for extended periods throughout the workday Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English Schedule Monday through Friday, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Saturdays 9:00-6:00. Saturdays are required. Closed Sundays.
Compensation and Bonus Structure Compensation:
$16/hour + 13 Uncapped Commissions Periods and Bonuses Retail Sales Consultants typically make between $50,000 - $62,000 Top Performers Average $25-$30/hr. Present compelling product demos and technical solutions tailored to client needs, emphasizing value propositions and competitive advantages. Manage territory accounts efficiently using CRM software such as Salesforce to track interactions, follow-ups, and sales progress. Build long-term relationships with clients through excellent customer service, regular communication, and personalized account management. Negotiate contracts and pricing terms effectively to close deals while ensuring customer satisfaction and retention. Collaborate with marketing teams to develop strategies for market penetration and brand awareness in target regions. Experience Proven success in outside sales or B2B sales roles with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets. Strong management skills with experience in territory management and business development initiatives. Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce for lead tracking, pipeline management, and reporting. Demonstrated ability to conduct product demos, technical presentations, and upselling opportunities. Excellent negotiation skills combined with analysis capabilities to assess market trends and customer needs. Experience in inside sales or retail sales is a plus, along with familiarity in technology or industrial product sectors. Ability to perform cold calling effectively and manage multiple accounts simultaneously while maintaining high levels of customer service.
