Summary Civic Review is a small, profitable software startup based in Logan, UT We're hiring a part-time Business Development Representative (BDR) who is excited about directly contributing to the growth of the company by making cold calls Qualified candidates are individuals who have excellent communication skills and work with a high level of energy and enthusiasm This position is in-office, unless you're a college student, then hybrid options are available Flexible, part-time schedule: 20 hours/week; starting June 2026 This is a perfect job for a student at USU studying pro sales About the company Civic Review is a Utah-based SaaS startup that provides software for local governments to help them manage their permitting and licensing process. What we're looking for We're looking for an entry-level, part-time Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team and help us find new local government organizations to start using our software. An ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about making cold calls, motivated by commission-based work, and excited to make an impact at a young startup. We're seeking a high-performer who can demonstrate the following qualities : Self-motivated, hunter mentality - demonstrating a competitive drive to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment Eager to use the best method possible for finding qualified leads, primarily through cold calling and email outreach Strong communication and negotiation skills Detail oriented, especially when it comes to logging activities in the CRM Goal-oriented, continually seeks to improve individual performance In this position, you'll get to… Primarily utilize cold calls to prospect and identify potential customers, who are cities and counties, for our software-as-a-service (SaaS) product Join an early team and grow with it Conduct outbound calls to establish new relationships with potential customers and build rapport Collaborate with your Account Executive and the company founder to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics You'll be successful in this role if you… Are motivated to meet and exceed monthly sales targets Work well with the team and can motivate and celebrate with your peers Demonstrate strong communication skills Are excited about learning how to improve your sales skills (coachable) Compensation $12/hour +
