Hotel Sales - Sales and Events Coordinator Kalispel Tribe of Indians - 3.6 Airway Heights, WA Job Details Full-time 14 hours ago Qualifications Employee relationship building Driver's License Full Job Description Summary of Functions Works in a supportive role for sales and events team ensuring clients' needs are met as well as office details are attended to. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Be knowledgeable regarding features and benefits of Northern Quest Resort & Casino and its competitors. Thorough understanding of sales, catering, and hospitality terminology, as well as application, including proposal and contract detail Knowledgeable of sales markets and distributing inquiries to team General understanding of banquet and venue operations as well as amenities the team supports Assist with customer inquiries, site inspections or meet and greet, and quote pricing for events as requested Coordinate all internal catering requests from inquiry through billing completed Support managers with client preplanning needs, event orders, group resumes, turnovers, proposals, and contracts as requested Correspond with clients for guest rooms to include: reservations, pick up reports, no shows, and billing as requested Review all turnovers for accuracy and ensuring key task dates are established, then worked Monitor group pick up and cut off dates regularly, coordinating with client and servicing manager Understanding of reservation processes, maintaining communication with rooms division for training to ensure consistency Ensure initial communication with clients via phone and email are responded to timely Coordinate IT requests, HIPPO entries, E-Req orders, credit card transaction processing, and other property processes are taken care of for office Maintain Files (electronic and hard copies) and storage areas are kept organized with par levels maintained Complete coordinator daily, weekly, monthly check list (including regular reports, inventory, meetings established, calendars monitored) Ensure confidentiality for clients as well as leadership is maintained Clients are always treated with respect, adhering to AAA Four Diamond / Forbes Four Star standards at all times Ensure client correspondence is timely and accurate Resolve customers' concerns and needs in a professional manner Be knowledgeable and competent with sales and catering software Be able to work well in a team environment with the employee acting as a team leader with minimal supervision Adhere to department standard operating procedures Ensures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians- State of Washington Gaming Compact, Internal Controls, NIGC Regulations and Northern Quest Policies and Procedures Ensure control/protection of company assets Responsible for maintaining a good attendance record Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for Business Levels May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings This job description does not list all of the duties of this position. Skills & Abilities Proficient in the use of Microsoft programs and other computer software. Exceptional "people skills". Creativity, excellent verbal, writing and editing skills. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with department head and team members. Skill in solving practical problems and dealing with situations where only limited standardization exists. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Skill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions. Demonstrated ability to be proactive and remain positive in a multi-tasking environment. Flexible with scheduling, as promotional and special events demand. Education Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school or equivalent combination of education and experience. Other Requirements Ability to obtain and maintain a Tribal Gaming License. Valid driver's license (Must be in possession while operating a Tribal Vehicle). Flexible scheduling, as promotional and special events demand. Must be willing to sign a legally binding non-competition contract that prohibits activity that directly conflicts with the integrity of Kalispel Tribe Economic Authority's business interests and its affiliate organizations as specified within the contract, for the duration of time listed.
