The ideal candidate will work closely with growers, distributors, and agricultural professionals to identify customer needs, recommend appropriate products, and support successful crop production through exceptional service and industry knowledge. Position Responsibilities Sales & Business Development Develop and grow sales within the assigned territory. Identify new business opportunities and expand the customer base. Achieve sales goals through strategic planning and relationship management. Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with growers, dealers, and agricultural partners. Understand customer needs and recommend seed products that align with their production goals. Provide outstanding customer service before, during, and after the sales process. Product Knowledge & Consultation Serve as a trusted advisor on seed products, crop performance, and agronomic solutions. Stay informed on industry trends, market conditions, and competitive products. Conduct product presentations and educational meetings for customers. Territory Management Develop and execute territory sales plans. Maintain regular customer visits and follow-up activities. Monitor market opportunities and provide feedback to leadership. Sales Reporting Maintain accurate sales forecasts, customer records, and activity reports. Track sales performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Utilize CRM systems to manage customer interactions and sales pipelines. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with internal teams including agronomy, operations, marketing, and customer support to ensure customer success. Support product launches, promotional initiatives, and field demonstrations as needed. Prerequisites Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agronomy, Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in agricultural sales, seed sales, agronomy, or a related industry. Strong understanding of crop production and seed products. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management abilities. Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory. Valid driver's license. Legal authorization to work in the United States. Certifications (Preferred, but Not Required) Certified Crop Adviser (CCA). Certified Professional Agronomist (CPAg). Sales or account management training.
