Kalispel Auto Sales - Auto Sales Specialist (Internal Only + Kalispel Tribal Members) Req #1270 Cusick, WA, USA Apply Share Job Description Posted Tuesday, September 29, 2026 at 6:00 AM Summary of functions: The Kalispel Auto Sales Specialist is responsible to plan, schedule, and manage the daily operations of the Kalispel Auto Sales division. The KAS Auto Sales Specialist also coordinates the implementation of operational activities, including supervising, recordkeeping, and monitoring any required State and Federal compliance regulations for automobile retailers. In addition to daily activities, the Kalispel Auto Sales Specialist is responsible for the development and implementation of the Kalispel Auto Sales operation. Essential duties and responsibilities Provides management of the daily operations of KAS and related services. Develops and assists with implementation of KAS policies and procedures as required by the Kalispel Tribe of Indians and any applicable state or federal laws. Prepares, manages, and monitors KAS budgets in accordance with Tribal finance policies. Proficiently manages and maintains Auto Sales records including inventory, sales statistics, and overall profitability of the division. Performs various internal audits to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures and provides documentation and reports to the Regional Business Manager. Works cooperatively with KAR staff in a continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes, and to provide quality customer service. Considers changes to the KAS program as made by customers or staff and works with the Regional Business Manager on policy revision to meet recommended changes. Establishes both long- and short-term goals for business planning purposes. Ensures the implementation of community outreach activities and other marketing strategies for the long-term benefit of the business. Work closely with the KAR Manager to provide support services to the existing repair and service operation, including but not limited to parts ordering, service scheduling, invoicing, and various other duties. Works with the Regional Business Manager to procure vehicles at wholesale prices to be sold in a retail environment. Prices inventory for resale based on industry standards in accordance with the departments policies. Works with KAR to have all vehicles purchased for the purpose of resale serviced, inspected, and prepared for sale. Ensures timely investigations and responses to customer service complaints. Processes and records daily income from KAS operations including cash receipts, and invoicing.
Additional Functions:
Additional duties as assigned. Due to the business-like function of KAS, it is expected that this position will provide a variety of duties that may not be described above. The potential growth/expansion of KAS will largely dictate such duties. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibilities Qualifications An AA degree with a minimum of three years' experience in the automotive industry, or a HS Diploma or GED with 5 years' experience in the automotive industry primarily in sales. Strong computer knowledge with emphasis on Excel, and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Programs. Must have demonstrated department management and budgeting skills. Requires excellent communication (verbal and writing) customer service skills, including the ability to write or create routine numerical or written reports and correspondence. Ability to work effectively and respectfully within the Kalispel Tribal Community. Willingness to be flexible in work scheduling, including working days, evening, on-call, and holidays as required. Must qualify for a Tribal Work Permit, including successfully passing drug testing and background investigation. Certificates, Licenses Required Valid WA or ID driver's license and eligibility for coverage under Tribal insurance coverages as required. Work Environment This position is performed primarily in the warehouse and shop environment. Work with computers, including extended periods of keyboarding; and repetitive motion of the hands and wrists. This position requires significant time standing and walking. This position requires the ability to bend, stoop, lift, and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. This position requires occasional travel and may require transporting customers or employees. This position requires work performed outside of general business hours, including, but not limited to, working evenings, on-call, responding to emergency situations, working holidays, or weekends.
