Full Job Description Position Description:
Are you a dynamic, results-driven professional passionate about connecting with people and driving growth? As an Inside Sales Representative, you are responsible for generating new business opportunities, developing customer relationships, and supporting revenue growth through proactive outreach and sales activities. This role serves as a key point of contact for prospective and existing customers, identifying needs, presenting solutions, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure a positive customer experience. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, customer-focused, and driven to achieve sales goals to help expand our market presence, especially in food-related sectors like dairy and technical processing solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development Prospect and qualify new leads through phone calls, email campaigns, social media, referrals, networking, and other sales activities. Market, quote, and sell company products and services to new and existing customers. Increase sales through prospecting, cross-selling, and identifying additional customer needs. Conduct needs assessments to identify customer challenges and recommend appropriate products and solutions. Prepare and present sales proposals, quotations, and product information. Achieve and exceed sales goals, activity metrics, and performance objectives. Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers. Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, quotation requests, and complaints. Answer customer questions regarding products pricing, availability, delivery, schedules, and payment terms. Coordinate customer onboarding activities and support customer retention efforts. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service throughout all interactions. Order Processing & Project Coordination Create accurate quotations, sales orders, and supporting documentation. Process customer orders to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment and invoicing. Coordinate product delivery, installation scheduling, returns, and warranty claims. Assist customers and internal staff with equipment, parts, and service-related inquiries. Work closely with outside sales, engineering, operations, vendors, and suppliers to support customer projects and order requirements. Maintain accurate customer records and sales activities within the CRM system. Collaboration & Compliance Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and professional development opportunities. Prepare sales reports and provide updates on pipeline activity and forecasts. Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service throughout all interactions. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards while maintaining a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and professional conduct.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Communication, or equivalent knowledge and experience. Proven experience in inside sales with a focus on sanitary components, fittings and equipment used in the food, dairy and processing industries preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. Strong problem solving, planning, organizational, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Skilled at managing multiple projects, competing priorities, timelines, and due dates in a fast-paced environment while ensuring customer satisfaction. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a professional and confident phone presence. Experienced in prospecting, lead generation, and cold calling to identify and secure new business opportunities. Effective relationship builder with the ability to establish trust and maintain long-term customer partnerships. Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. Exceptional customer service skills combined with leadership qualities to guide clients through the sales process.
