This is a long-term contract position offering flexible scheduling options that may align with part-time, permanent, or seasonal availability, depending on business needs and candidate fit. The role focuses on building relationships with residential customers, identifying new opportunities, and helping drive steady sales activity in the local market.
Responsibilities:
Engage homeowners and local property owners in person to introduce asphalt and pavement maintenance solutions and explain service benefits. Prospect for new business through direct outreach, neighborhood canvassing, and consistent follow-up with interested customers. Respond to incoming inquiries, reconnect with previous clients, and help convert leads into active sales opportunities. Evaluate customer needs at a high level and route larger or more complex opportunities to senior sales team members when appropriate. Maintain accurate records of customer conversations, lead status, and scheduled follow-up activity. Support the sales pipeline by helping keep smaller residential projects moving forward efficiently. Represent the company professionally in the field while building trust with residential and commercial prospects. Learn service offerings such as sealcoating, crack filling, and patch repair in order to communicate value clearly to customers. 0+ years of experience required; entry-level candidates with a strong interest in sales are encouraged to apply. Comfort with face-to-face customer interaction and a willingness to perform door-to-door outreach. Ability to communicate persuasively and use a consultative approach to uncover customer needs. Self-motivation, dependability, and a strong work ethic in an outside sales environment. Organizational skills to manage lead information and follow-up tasks effectively. Sales-related experience in areas such as direct sales, inside sales, retail, or customer outreach is helpful but not required. Interest in learning the pavement maintenance industry and developing into a broader sales or estimating role over time.
