Compensation On-Target Earnings:
$60,000-$90,000+ You'll have the security of a guaranteed base with the opportunity to earn more through sales performance. This position pays the higher of base pay or earned commission, giving motivated salespeople meaningful upside as they build their business.Compensation:
$60,000 - $90,000 yearlyResponsibilities:
Develop New Business Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout Central Wisconsin Build relationships with property managers, builders, remodelers, senior living communities, local businesses, and other potential accounts Prospect through phone calls, email, referrals, networking, in-person visits, and community involvement Schedule and conduct meetings with prospective customers Ask for the business and consistently follow up on opportunities Develop new accounts into long-term, repeat customers Maintain relationships with existing accounts and identify additional opportunities for growth Manage the Sales Process Work with customers to understand their flooring needs, project requirements, timelines, and budgets Recommend flooring solutions based on the customer's needs Coordinate measurements, product selection, estimates, and project details Prepare and present quotes and proposals Follow opportunities from initial conversation through sale and installation Maintain accurate customer, project, and follow-up information Work closely with our internal team to provide a strong customer experience from beginning to end Be Part of the Wausau Team Our Wausau showroom will serve as your home base. While business development is a key focus of this position, this is not a 100% outside-sales role. You'll spend time in the field developing business and meeting customers, while also working from the Wausau location to follow up on opportunities, prepare projects, meet customers, learn products, and coordinate with our sales and operations teams. As part of the Wausau sales team, you'll also help support showroom customers and store coverage.Qualifications:
Details and meeting goals motivate you to provide exceptional customer service to your prospects, clients, and team High school diploma required, bachelor's degree preferred Strong customer service experience is necessary for this position Exceptional negotiating, interpersonal, presentation, persuasion, and communication skills Experience using CRM software as part of the sales process is preferred Flooring experience is helpful, but it isn't required. We can teach flooring. We're looking for someone who already knows how to build relationships and sell. You'll be a strong fit if you: Have previous sales, business development, account management, or relationship-building experience Are comfortable prospecting and initiating conversations with people you don't already know Enjoy getting out of the office and meeting customers face-to-face Are motivated by developing your own opportunities and growing a book of business Follow up consistently and understand that successful business development takes persistence Can build relationships with everyone from a homeowner or property manager to a contractor or business owner Are comfortable balancing outside sales activity with time working from a retail showroom Are organized and capable of managing multiple customers and projects at different stages of the sales process Communicate professionally and confidently Are comfortable using technology to manage customer information, quotes, follow-ups, and sales activity Experience in B2B sales, outside sales, building materials, construction, property management, restoration, home improvement, real estate, business services, or other relationship-driven sales environments may translate especially well to this position. You'll have the support of an established local showroom, experienced flooring professionals, product resources, and an operations team to help turn the business you develop into successful projects.
