Full-time Full-time Job Summary:
Capital City Auto Auction is a dealer only, wholesale auto auction. We primarily sell bank repossessions and dealer trade ins. In most cases the public is not involved. Your primary responsibility will be to use diagnostic tools and your knowledge of automotive systems to accurately identify issues with vehicles and communicate those findings with your shop supervisor. There is no customer communication required! This position is perfect for someone passionate about cars and eager to learn and grow in the automotive repair industry.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic tests with specialized equipment and software to check for malfunctions in vehicles.
- Perform routine automotive maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
- Interpret diagnostic test results and identify the necessary repairs or maintenance.
- Collaborate with service technicians and other team members to ensure efficient and effective repairs.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of automotive diagnostic technology and repair techniques.
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
- Provide diagnostic findings and repair suggestions in an understandable manner.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems and a strong desire to learn.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and software.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members.
- Ability to maintain an organized list of completed work.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software is a plus.
- Previous dealership experience is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A valid driver's license.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various positions.
