The Opportunity We're seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our residential HVAC operation in Tallahassee. This position is responsible for the overall performance of the HVAC service and installation departments through leadership, coaching, sales development, operational excellence, and KPI management. The ideal candidate has a strong background in residential HVAC, understands duct systems, has experience leading high-performing teams, and has worked within the Nexstar Network or similar performance-driven environment. What You'll Lead Team Leadership Lead, coach, mentor, and develop service, installationsales teams Hold technicians and frontline leaders accountable to company expectations Conduct ride-alongs, one-on-one coaching, and performance reviews Build future leaders through ongoing development Sales Performance Coach technicians on presenting solutions and building customer trust Improve average ticket, close rate, maintenance conversions, and replacement opportunities Reinforce ethical, customer-focused sales processes Develop a high-performing sales culture without sacrificing customer experience Operational Excellence Partner with dispatch to maximize technician efficiency and customer satisfaction Monitor scheduling, productivity, callbacks, warranty work, and profitability Ensure operational consistency across all field activities Drive continuous process improvement TrainingDevelopment Develop technical training plans Improve HVAC diagnostics, ductwork knowledge, installation quality, and customer communication Support onboarding and development of new technicians Promote continuous learning and professional growth KPI Ownership Monitor and improve key operational metrics including: Revenue Average Ticket Closing Percentage Maintenance Agreement Conversion Technician Productivity Callback Percentage Gross Margin Customer Satisfaction Efficiency Revenue Per Technician What Success Looks Like Revenue and profitability consistently improve Technicians understand their goals and performance expectations Sales performance increases through coaching-not pressure Training produces measurable improvement Strong employee engagement and retention High customer satisfaction scores A culture built on accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement What We're Looking For Required 5+ years of residential HVAC leadership experience Previous Operations Manager, Service Manager, or General Manager experience Strong residential HVAC diagnostic experience Thorough understanding of residential duct systems and airflow Proven ability to lead sales-focused service teams Experience managing KPIs and departmental financial performance Strong coaching and leadership skills Excellent communication and conflict resolution abilities Valid driver's license Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Highly Preferred Nexstar Network experience ServiceTitan experience Multi-department home service leadership experience Experience leading both service and installation departments What We Offer Competitive base salary Performance bonus opportunities Company vehicle 100% Company-Paid Employee Health Insurance Dental, VisionLife Insurance 401(k) with Company Match Paid Time Off Paid Holidays Ongoing leadership development Clear path toward General Manager opportunities Join Our Team If you're an experienced HVAC leader who understands how to develop people, improve performance, and build winning teams through accountability, coaching, and operational excellence, we'd love to speak with you.
