Job Description
- Self-generate leads through door-to-door canvassing, referral development, community events, and local networking
- Leverage Ironhead's existing roofing customer base and builder/GC relationships to identify solar opportunities
- Conduct residential and commercial site consultations; assess energy needs and present customized solar proposals
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting through signed contract and project handoff
- Maintain an active, organized pipeline with consistent follow-up at every stage
- Collaborate with production and project coordination teams to ensure smooth customer handoffs
- Stay current on solar incentives, utility programs, financing options, and market trends in Oregon
- Represent Ironhead professionally at community events, home shows, and networking functions Your First 90 Days
- Learn Ironhead's solar products, financing options, and proposal tools
- Shadow installs and meet the production team — understand what you're selling end to end
- Begin canvassing and working warm leads from the roofing customer base
- Run your first consultations and close your first projects
- Establish a weekly prospecting rhythm and CRM discipline
Qualifications & Experience Required:
- 3+ years of outside sales experience — solar, home improvement, or construction strongly preferred
- Comfortable with door-to-door prospecting and self-generating pipeline
- Strong consultative selling skills — you listen before you pitch
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a full sales cycle independently
- Prior solar sales experience with knowledge of NEM, utility incentives, or Oregon-specific programs
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred:
- Experience selling to both homeowners and commercial/property management contacts
- Familiarity with solar design tools (Aurora, OpenSolar, or similar)

Base Salary:
$50,000- 60,000 depending on experience
Commission:
Uncapped — competitive per-watt or per-deal structure (details shared in interview)OTE:
$125,000- 225,000+ (top performers earn more)
