Position Overview We're seeking a Solar Setter Manager to lead and develop our solar appointment-setting team across California. This role is ideal for an experienced solar sales professional with strong leadership skills, a passion for clean energy, and the ability to build a high-performing lead generation organization. The ideal candidate will be a motivated leader who can coach setters, improve team performance, and drive consistent appointment volume for ESP's residential solar sales team.
Responsibilities:
  • Recruit, train, coach, and manage a team of Solar Setters focused on generating qualified homeowner appointments
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve lead generation, appointment quality, and setter performance
  • Monitor daily and weekly team metrics including calls, contacts, appointments booked, show rates, and conversions
  • Conduct call reviews, role-playing sessions, and ongoing sales training to improve communication skills
  • Ensure setters effectively educate homeowners on solar benefits and qualify prospects before appointments are scheduled
  • Collaborate with Solar Sales Managers and leadership to improve sales processes and customer experience
  • Create accountability through goal setting, performance tracking, and team motivation
  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and improve setter workflows
  • Represent ESP professionally by maintaining knowledge of solar products, financing options, and customer solutions
  • Attend meetings, training, and work with internal departments to ensure alignment across sales operations
  • Must have reliable transportation and internet access
Qualifications:
  • Positive and professional attitude with strong leadership and communication skills
  • Solar sales, appointment setting, or call center management experience required
  • Proven ability to coach and develop sales teams
  • Strong understanding of residential solar sales processes and customer acquisition
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze performance and improve results
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
