Job Description

Overview:
$•/ hourThe Visual Merchandise Assistant supports the Visual Merchandise Supervisor and helps create and maintain appealing and effective product displays in retail environments throughout Knott's Berry Farm theme park, Knott's Marketplace shopping area, Knott's Hotel, and Knott's Soak City water park. Additionally, the Visual Merchandise Assistant may be periodically called upon to support activiations and seasonal events beyond the Knott's Berry Farm property.

The role involves a combination of crateive, administrative, and logistical tasks to support the Visual Merchandising team in enhancing the Guest experience and driving sales.

Upholding visual merchandising standardsAssisting the Visual Merchandise Supervisor in the design and implementation of displaysSourcing materialsStayin on trendCreating visual aidsHandling and tracking product samples for display purposesAssisting with inventory management to ensure timely availability of products for displaysHelping to create and manage schedules for display installations and changesManaging paperwork and files related to visual merchandising guidelines and projectsGuest servicePerformance analysis
Qualifications:
at least one year of experience in design, retail, or a related fieldstrong sense of style, color, and layoutunderstanding of composition, balance, and how to create visually engaging spacesup to date with current fashion, design, and retail trendsability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain a structured workplaceexperience in planning, coordinating, and executing visual merchandising or similar projects from start to finishability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines, especially during store setup or seasonal changesability to identify issues and find creative solutions to challenges during the display processability to frequently engage in physical work, including lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, crouching, climbing ladders, walking extended distances, and standing for extended periodsclear and effective communication, both written and verbal, to collaborate with team members, explain design concepts, and provide feedbackability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with other visual merchandise assistants, store staff, supervisors, and managersunderstanding of Guest preferences and how to create displays that appeal to the target audienceproficiency with design software, such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, is preferredproficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teamsexperience with retail and inventory systems is preferredunderstanding and appreciation for the rich history of Knott's Berry Farm and the detailed nuances of a heavily themed amusement environmentavailable to work a variety of days and times, including nights, weekends, and holidays
