ABOUT THE ROLE
We're looking for a sharp, organized, and self-motivated Assistant Merchandiser to support our Senior Merchandiser across the seasonal product lifecycle and overseas production. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to grow inside a fast-paced, design-driven denim/contemporary brand
- someone who thrives on structure, anticipates what's needed before being asked, and takes genuine ownership of the details that keep a merchandising calendar on track.
This role is based in-person at our Downtown Los Angeles office and starts part-time (approximately 3 days per week) with the potential to expand into a full-time position as the business grows.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support in building and maintaining seasonal assortment grids and product trackers
- Help prepare and organize materials for line reviews, sales meetings, and cross-functional check-ins (design, production, sales, planning)
- Maintain our B2B and ERP platforms (JOOR, NuOrder, and AIMS360)
- setting up new styles and keeping product data current
- Maintain and track WIP (work-in-progress) for overseas production, ensuring approvals and deliveries stay on schedule, and flagging delays or gaps proactively
- Maintain and track for fabric orders and inventory
- Communicate consistently and clearly with cross-functional partners, vendors, and showroom teams
- Assist with competitive shopping and market research across denim and contemporary brands to identify trends, pricing, and whitespace opportunities
- Take on ad hoc administrative and project-based support as the merchandising calendar demands
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 2-3 years of experience in merchandising, product development or production at an apparel brand
- A true self-starter
- someone who takes initiative and doesn't wait to be told what's next
- Highly organized with sharp attention to detail; comfortable managing multiple trackers and deadlines at once
- Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets (pivot tables and VLOOKUPs a plus); hands-on experience with PLM, ERP, or B2B platforms such as AIMS360, WFX, JOOR, or NuOrder is a strong plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A genuine passion for fashion and product

- Calm, adaptable, and solutions-oriented under deadline pressure
- A collaborative team player who's equally comfortable working independently
- Able to reliably commute to our Downtown Los Angeles office in person on scheduled workdays
COMPENSATION DETAILS
This role is structured as a part-time, hourly position (target of 3 days / 24 hours per week) with room to grow into a full-time, salaried position as responsibilities expand. Pay is based on industry benchmarks for assistant/junior merchandising roles at contemporary denim brands in the Los Angeles market for a candidate with 2-3 years of experience.
