Full Description Summary:
This warehouse staffer role is based in the San Ramon Warehouse, we call it our Lumberyard, which handles a portion of Sports Basement's rentals, and premium tunes for skis and snowboards, and retail distributions. A Warehouse Staffer works directly with the Management team to ensure the day-to-day operations and expectations of the department are being met. The ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is detail-oriented, and is adaptable to change. We like to have as much fun as we can while getting our work completed quickly, efficiently and safely. Depending on the needs of the Warehouse, other duties may be assigned from time to time. What you'll do Apply Core Values Demonstrate the SB value "OK is not OK" in all aspects of your role. Staff Experience and Operations/ Warehouse Job Duties Willing to learn new things and new ways to contribute to the success of your role specifically, and the company in general. Perform tasks with a positive attitude and communicate problems or issues properly. Lifting and moving heavy objects, such as pallets of bikes. Safely packing, unpacking and storing boxes, equipment and fixtures. Maintaining a clean and safe working environment. Utilize best practices to complete warehouse operations duties such as testing and tuning of all winter equipment, processing of all new winter equipment, filling of snow-related needs, and replenishment of winter rentals directly to stores. Depending on the needs of the Warehouse, other duties may be assigned from time to time. Business Experience Stays up-to-date with all company information and quickly implements all initiatives to improve business culture. Responsible for working with their lead or manager to complete daily operations in the assigned department. Is a self-starter and understands how to prioritize daily workload. Qualifications Previous industry experience (Preferred, but not required.). Ability to lift up to 75 pounds. Ability to work in an environment with a variable climate. Ability to work standing or sitting for up to 8 hours, as well as bending, kneeling, leaning, and other physical tasks. Basic computer skills. Good verbal or written communication skills - Ability to understand and follow written or verbal instructions. A positive, energetic work ethic - this position requires a lot of manual labor. Availability 5 days a week, 8 hours a day (ranging from 7am-5pm). Previous experience with or willingness to learn the following are a plus but not a requirement To drive a 26 ft box truck. To use a forklift.
