Deerfield Beach, FL Job Details Full-time $15 - $17 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Customer communication English Attention to detail Stocking Grocery store experience Full Job Description The Produce Department Salesman is responsible for maintaining the presentation, freshness, and availability of fruits and vegetables in the store. This role ensures excellent customer service, assists with merchandising and inventory control, and upholds food safety and cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist customers in the produce section with product knowledge and selection Stock, rotate, and display produce items to maximize sales and freshness Monitor quality, remove spoiled or damaged items, and maintain proper storage practices Maintain a clean and organized work area including sales floor, display tables, and storage coolers Assist with receiving, unloading, and organizing produce deliveries Price and label products accurately according to company standards Collaborate with the department manager and team to meet sales and inventory goals Provide samples, suggestions, and education to customers about seasonal or specialty items Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines

Qualifications:

Prior experience in produce or grocery retail preferred Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Good communication and customer service skills Basic knowledge of fruits, vegetables, and produce handling Bilingual a plus (English + Russian or Spanish)

Schedule & Compensation:

Full-time or part-time hours available Must be available for weekends and holidays Weekly pay, employee discount, growth opportunities
