In this energetic role, you will be responsible for efficiently packing produce items, maintaining stock levels, and ensuring the produce section remains organized, clean, and inviting. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a positive shopping experience while supporting the overall success of our retail operation. This paid position offers opportunities to develop your skills in inventory control, materials handling, and customer service in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Pack fresh produce items accurately and efficiently using appropriate packaging materials to ensure quality and freshness. Stock shelves and display cases with produce, maintaining proper organization and presentation standards. Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, RF scanners, and forklifts safely to load, unload, and move produce inventory. Conduct inventory counts regularly using inventory management systems; report discrepancies or damages promptly. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the produce area, including cleaning displays, tools, and storage spaces. Assist with shipping and receiving tasks by loading and unloading deliveries while adhering to safe lifting practices. Support merchandising efforts by arranging produce displays attractively and ensuring product knowledge is up-to-date for customer inquiries. Experience Previous warehouse experience or retail store experience preferred; familiarity with materials handling equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory control effectively. Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices. Basic math skills for counting inventory and processing transactions accurately. Customer service experience is beneficial for engaging positively with shoppers and providing product knowledge. Knowledge of grocery store operations, merchandising standards, and retail sales processes enhances performance in this role.
