Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW
TPo work all or various jobs in warehouse related to the processing of donated goods.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs at least one/more of the following tasks as assigned:
  • Presort into 3 categories including textiles, hardline goods, and trash.
  • Move materials from workstation to workstation as needed.
  • Receive donated goods from donors. Assists donors with unloading cars & carrying donations as needed. Offers donor's receipts.
  • Maintain accurate donation records of total donors on a daily basis.
  • Pack seasonal items in containers and label.
  • Participate in the filling of store shipment requirements and complete related paperwork.
  • Remove trash from warehouse and transport to disposal containers as necessary.
  • Keep all workstations and warehouse areas clean and neat.
  • Ability to grade textiles and hardlines to store expectations and meet company production standards.
  • Ensure compliance with store expectations by maintaining consistent productivity and meeting company production goals.
  • Responsible for meeting store performance expectations and maintaining productivity in alignment with company production standards.
  • Demonstrate consistent positive behavior with all internal and external customers and professionally communicate donation policies.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous image when dealing with the public.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and wear all safety equipment that is required for the specific task.
  • Continually support the agency safety program and contribute to customer and employee safety.
  • Responsible for stores maintaining production model as established by DGR leadership.
  • Accomplishes retail and organizational mission by completing related assignments as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
  • HS diploma/GED or any job-related experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
  • Possess good eyesight and color definition.
  • Good interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to quickly assess goods and determine appropriate routing.
  • Functional reading and writing skills.
  • Ability to use hand truck.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule determined by store needs; typical retail hours to include evenings, weekends and holidays.
