Job Description

Produce Clerk
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Communicate with Country Store Manager. Maintain a working relationship with entire Country Store staff. Keep display areas stocked and the product rotated according to product standards. Assist customers with product selection, preparation, packaging, questions and any other requests. Maintain department product displays and signage. Ensure that merchandise in display case is fresh, in saleable condition and has been properly priced with correct signage. Receive and inspect incoming products for quality and accuracy. Responsible for cleaning and trimming produce. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstation and surrounding areas. Follow all guidelines and procedures outlined in department and health and safety manuals and as set by the Country Store Manager. Performs other duties as needed or assigned
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge :
Job requires a high school diploma or GED; previous customer service experience preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
This may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions, which are furnished in written and oral form. Ability to deal with problems involving standard and nonstandard situations. Ability to communicate and work well with others. Commitment to superior guest service. Proven organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
