In this role, you'll play an important part in creating an enjoyable experience for every guest by preparing and serving food items, maintaining cleanliness, and providing outstanding customer service. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in quality service, and values teamwork. What Five Star Has To Offer Paid vacation after 6 months. Key Responsibilities Provide food prep, cooking, delivery, set up, serving, breakdown and cleaning for Catering Events both on and off premises. Responsible for preparing hot and cold items for service according to established recipes and standards. Complies with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies and procedures. Samples, smells, and observe food to ensure conformance to recipes and standards of appearance and taste. Maintains a sanitary workstation, including sweeping, mopping, and dishwashing. Selects and uses knives, hand tools, utensils, and equipment to portion, cut, slice, mash, puree, whip, beat, roll, stuff, maintain holding temperature, cook or otherwise produce food in the assigned station. Assists during service. Put-up truck orders and stock deliveries. Remove the trash as needed. Performs cashier duties as needed, including restocking coolers, condiments, etc. Required Qualifications High school diploma/ GED and 1 year food service experience. Must be able to consent to a drug screen and pre-employment background check. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift. Preferred Qualifications Cooking/ food prep experience. Customer service/ point of sale experience. Serv Safe certification.
