Seasonal Garden Center Associate

Job Summary Join our team as a Seasonal Garden Center Associate. This role is a mix of customer service, retail operations, and hands-on outdoor work . Some days are fast-paced assisting customers, while others focus on projects and maintaining the plants in the garden center keeping them looking beautiful, healthly and retail ready. The ideal candiate will have plant knowledge and excellant customer service skills. Customer service is the name of our game. Your enthusiasm for gardening and customer service will help ensure our costumers keep coming back and foster a welcoming environment for all. Responsibilities Assist customers with selecting products, answering questions, and offering gardening tips based on their needs Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and visual appeal of the garden center by stocking shelves, rotating stock, and merchandising displays. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for sales transactions and handle cash or electronic payments with care Support landscape maintenance tasks such as planting, watering, pruning, and general yard upkeep when needed. Manage inventory levels by receiving shipments, stocking products efficiently Complete daily task lists independently and efficiently Assist with loading bagged soil, plants and other materials for customers Take bulk product orders and schedule deliveries Answer the garden shop phone and offer customer support

Requirements:

Comfortable interacting with customers in a retail environment Ability to work independently and take direction Able to lift 30-40 lbs regularly Comfortable standing/walking for extended periods Able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Availability on weekends and holidays (Mother's Day, Memorial Day) in the Spring is required Must have reliable transportation to and from work Must be dependable, punctual and trustworthy This role is perfect for someone with gardening knowledge and a passion for customer service. Pay:

$17.00 - $20.00 per hour
