This position requires previous experience in paint, hardware, building materials, or a related field, along with strong product knowledge and the ability to recommend appropriate products based on customer needs. Essential Responsibilities Assist customers with selecting paint, hardware, tools, fasteners, and other related building supply products. Provide knowledgeable product recommendations based on customers' projects and specific needs. Mix and prepare paint and accurately match colors as needed. Answer customer questions regarding product features, applications, and proper use. Process customer sales and transactions accurately and efficiently. Prepare customer orders and ensure products are properly packaged and ready for pickup or delivery. Maintain product displays, pricing, signage, and merchandising throughout the department. Receive, stock, organize, and replenish inventory as needed. Monitor inventory levels and communicate low-stock or special-order items to management. Assist with special orders and customer requests. Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and professional department. Assist customers with loading or moving products when needed. Work closely with other departments to provide an excellent customer experience. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Previous experience in paint, hardware, building materials, or a related field is required. Strong knowledge of paint products, hardware, tools, and building materials. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to understand customer needs and recommend appropriate products. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic computer and point-of-sale skills. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Ability to safely lift, carry, and move products as required. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to regularly lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to bend, reach, stoop, and climb ladders as needed. Ability to safely operate department equipment after appropriate training.
