Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, ensure efficient inventory management, and lead the warehouse staff and volunteers. Responsibilities Manage overall warehouse operations including , receiving, inventory control, responsible for the timely sorting and pricing of donated merchandise. Ensures that all donated merchandise is priced appropriately. Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff and volunteers to ensure productivity and adherence to safety standards. Checks dock to enusre that all donated items are secured in the building daily, which includes some weekends and holidays. May be responsible for business matters of the Thrift shop in the absence of the Store Manager on a temporary basis. Implement improvements to enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. Organizes and Maintaines a clean donation room/warehouse. Coordinates with the Manager for establishing standard procedures for the pricing of donated merchandise. Monitor warehouse layout for optimal space utilization and workflow efficiency. Ensure compliance with regulations and promote a safe working environment for all team members. Oversees traing of volunteers regarding the correct procedures. Performs routine housekeeping and other duties as needed. Requirements Applicants must be over 21, and have a valid DOD ID card (CAC cards and passes not permitted. We are a spouse/dependant employer).Experience in supervision within a fast-paced environment. Work up to 20 hours a week including some one Saturday a month.
Basic computer knowledge a must and knowledge in Liberty Consignments a plus and cash handleing a must! Fills in for the Store Manager when needed, must work well with the public, organized, and motivated to work. Be flexible to check the dock on the weekends. Ability to manage team members effectively, fostering a collaborative work environment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting as required (50lbs).
